Welcome to Burford Preschool CIC

We are a registered Community Interest Company with a skilled caring team.  

We provide outstanding early education and childcare for age 2 to 4 years that is caring, ambitious and rooted in trust. ​ We operate from a demountable building in the grounds of Burford CofE Primary School, in the South Shropshire village of Burford, which also lies on the borders of Worcestershire and Herefordshire.  We have close links with Burford CofE Primary Schooland the majority of our registered children, transition into this school each year.  

We are able to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those with English as an additional language. Children thrive here because they feel safe, known, and inspired to learn. Every day begins with warmth and connection. Our team builds strong relationships with each child, helping them grow in confidence, kindness, and independence.

We provide our children with a rich and varied invitations to learn to create awe and wonder.  The Child are our Curriculum - what they learn and how they learn is unique to them. We encourage our children to be curious, inspired, and build confidence to explore and learn in a secure and safe, indoor and outdoor free-flow environment using loose parts and a variety of real items. We offer practical and creative opportunities, built on real experiences.  Stories and books thread through each day, sparking conversation and developing curiosity, imagination, and language. We enrich learning with immersive experiences, inviting visitors such as police officers, paramedics, firefighters, and many more into our setting. These encounters help our children understand the world around them.

We also aim to provide the highest quality relationships, experiences and environment for our children which enables them to leave us capable, strong, resilient and confident, ready for their next journey ahead.
